Do you want to share your story?

Courage through truthfulness is at the heart of the storytelling in Art of Healing.

It’s not easy to express stories or memories of sexual violence and childhood harm, especially alone. We need others to show and guide us. By sharing their art a lifetime ago, the artists involved in the Art of Healing are still showing up, guiding, and holding space for the healing of other people who have experienced sexual violence. Their courage lets each of us know we are not alone in our healing journey.

The online platform for the Art of Healing exhibit builds a community of powerful, resilient humans. The gathering of people in this virtual space invokes care in people who attend it. The stories make each of us more curious, understanding, generous, and loving. Both the artists and survivors viewing the art are seen and accepted; offering and receiving care from each other through art.

We hope the artists’ stories in Art of Healing will inspire other artists to contribute their stories of their experiences, transformation, and healing to be included in this online exhibit. Continue healing and expanding care.

If you are willing to share your story and contribute your artwork to the Art of Healing exhibit, please complete the online submission form.
